Hi all, I have installed PT 12 then the Digi 003 Console driver 9.0.6 (latest one to be compatible for PT 12/Digi 003 Console). Plugged my Digi 003 hardware thru firewire 400 (Pcie FW with TI chip). But when i go to the sound manager the driver version installed is 9.0.8 (don't even know where it got it) which is strickly compatible with the rack version of Digi 003. Tried several instals even disabled the Win Update but sadly the result is always the same.

This causes instability when i run PT and i do believe that the permanent crashes i have when i close PT sessions are due also to that Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated, thank you in advance. It does drives me mad since after the install process when i go to the hardware and sound (in control panel) the driver version is the 9.0.8 (rack Digi 003 version) instead of the one i dw and just installed. I even tried unplugging my net cable and turning off Windows update. Nothing works. 2 of the mains problems that i have is that at startup Digi isn't offline, i have to go and click on teh tabs playback adn recording and then ok (in hardware and sounds in control panel) to get it off line and also after saving any PT session i close it and PT crashes always.Those are only 2 issues among several Help.

Are you following the install instructions and installing the drivers with the 003 disconnected? Go into the Windows Device manager and uninstall any 003 drivers (and be sure to select 'Delete the driver software for this device'). Double check there are no other 003 related installers on your system (e.g. Make sure there are not copies of install media on any drives, DVD-ROM, USB flash drives, etc.

There's no doubt in the Avid site that the driver related to the Digi 003 Console to run with PT 12 is the 9.0.6 version. I've checked the DriveStore/FileDepository. Only one Avid driver installed but i can't identify which one. What do you mean 'no copies o finstall media on any drives'?

Do you refer to the driver installer? If so how do you advise me to install it again? I'll try to install again (as i already did numerous times). Really don't know what else to do. I'v uninstalled the driver and erased any reference files (as far as i could locate them) to the Digi 003 even in registry. Made a fresh install and the problem remains. I install Digi 003 Console Driver 9.0.6 ( downloaded from Avid's site) but the version that appear in Hardware and Sound manager (control panel) is the 9.0.8 driver which i didn't downloaded and is strickly compatible with the rack version of Digi 003.
